Avery was born in Poznań, Poland. She obtained a BSc in Biomedicine from Lancaster University in 2026, where her studies focused on computational biology and protein biochemistry. Later that year, she joined the Frei Lab for a Master’s by Research project, funded by Generation Research. Her project aims to develop a high-throughput metalloantibiotic discovery pipeline targeting bacterial proteins of interest. Outside of the lab, Avery enjoys playing guitar and video games.
